BOSTON, USA - A top official of Boston University has cited Charlie Agatep, president and CEO of public relations firm Agatep Associates Inc. (AAI), for distinguished service to the PR profession.
In a special luncheon at the Boston University Club, Dean John J. Schulz, Ph. D of Boston University's College of Communication, said "We are proud to honor you for your skillful use of PR to propagate cause-related programs in your country."
On behalf of the president of Boston University, Schulz named Agatep the interim head of the Boston University alumni association in the Philippines. Agatep finished his M.S. in Communication Arts at Boston University's College of Communication on a Fulbright and Smith Mundt scholarship.
In the Philippines, distinguished alumni from Boston University include Andrea Strano, vice consul-second secretary of the Embassy of the United States of America (COM 2004), former DOTC Secretary Josie Lichauco (1970), broadcast journalist Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala (1986), former First Lady and environmentalist Amelita Ramos (1950) and writer Christine Dayrit (1992).
Agatep Associates is the sister company of Euro RSCG Philippines. The two companies are working together to undertake integrated marketing in corporate communication with combined staffs of 76 employees.
